studied at the Music Academy Vienna with F. Burt and M. Jarrell and mathematics at the University Vienna. Between 1992/93 he studied at IRCAM, Paris with Marco Stroppa and Brian Ferneyhough.

He has been a co-founder of the NewTonEnsemble, of the international composers group PRISMA and of www.ikultur.com. Since 1997 has been teaching at the music university in Vienna, where he became the head of ZiMT in 2008. His music has been performed in Europe, Turkey, Argentina, Mexico, Canada, Taiwan, South-Korea and China.

zeneszerzés tanulmányait a Bécsi Zeneakadémián végezte F. Burtnél és M. Jarrellnél. Matematikát a Bécsi Egyetemen tanult. 1992 és 1993 között a párizsi IRCAM-ban végzett tanulmányokat Marco Stroppánál és Brian Ferneyhoughnál.

A NewTonEnsemble, a PRISMA, nemzetközi zeneszerzőcsoport, az ikultur.com és az European Bridges Ensemble társalapítója.

Műveit játszották Európa-szerte, Törökországban, Argentínában, Mexikóban, Kanadában, Taiwanon, Dél-Koreában és Kínában.
